To get an idea of the variety of the work, what was the last shout you attended?
It will be because it has to be.

RTA on the M25, call come from member of public stated between junctions 2 and 3 clockwise, it actually was between 4 and 3 and was anti-clockwise so we got stood down as it would have taken us too long to arrive. Prior to that we got a washing machine alight, was out before we arrived.

A large column of thick black smoke issuing from a local farm. Looked spectacular as it was visible from at least 8 miles away, but as often is the way wasnt much. Turned out to be a fair quantity of plastic cartons on a large bonfire. A squirt with a couple of hosereels, a word with the owner on what not to burn and home.

Two car RTA, three persons trapped. The first chap we took out, last I heard, was doctors were fighting to save his legs. Of the two people in the other vehicle, one had a fractured tib/fib and the other had cuts, grazes and back pain.

A supposed house fire with reports of neighbours using garden hoses to control the fire, so we thought we had a goer. We were on our way to another station in our 4x4 pump and happened to get their first fairly quickly. Nothing showing, had another 5 pumps rock up !! Reason being it was training night so everyone sent everything !
Never found a fire, the TIC found no heat, all that happened was a very wet ceiling and water damage to the bathroom, still don't know what the neighbours were on about, there was simply nothing there !

I don't know :hmmm:
